Join degrowth working group

Hello,

I am writing from Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I am a Masters candidate at the University of Guelph and my research interest is on ecological sustainability, social equity, and what is needed to (better policies/alternative systems/both) to achieve optimal outcomes for our world.

Currently, my research is on marine protected areas in Vietnam and the impact that plastic pollution and policies in place to regulate it are affecting coastal livelihoods. I would be interested in contributing research and scholarship, as well as working on broad communications outside of academia. An example of an article I recently published in The Conversation is here: https://theconversation.com/plastic-in-the-oceans-is-not-the-fault-of-the-global-south-110247

Thank you for your work and I look forward to hearing more about the Degrowth working group.

Sincerely,
Alisa
