The Reading Committee presents:
Degrowth is a social movement and an emerging field of study which critiques models of unlimited growth and is interested in proposing alternative visions to transform the ways in which we organize ourselves. Degrowth is a concept little-known in Singapore. We are a few individuals who have an interest in exploring degrowth and would like to start building a community here in Singapore. Coinciding with Global Degrowth Day, we will be organizing a reading circle for those who are interested to learn more about degrowth to come together to discuss and imagine. As an introduction to the degrowth literature, we will be discussing the introductory chapter of “Vocabulary of Degrowth”. Another recommended resource is the Fairy Tales of Degrowth Documentary which can be found on Youtube.
